My artwork is expressed through a number of different mediums and techniques. It generally explores the contrast, confusion, ephemerality, escape, and the endless exploration of the unknown and the mysteriousness of things. My artwork emphasises disorderly structure, boldness and fragility, unpredictability, and vulnerability throughout the chaotic bold marks and the delicate fragile textures and tones. The process of creating my artwork is all important from the beginning to the end. I enjoy the unpredictable nature of my work and try to embrace the accidents and mistakes that create unexpected surprises that could lead into further experimentation. It is an important part of my work and trying to control them is an element that expresses the work. It is uncertain, mysterious, and unpredictable. The work resembles codes and riddles that not everyone understands including myself. The combination of random bold chaotic marks that I try to control by the layering of shapes and positioning them is an attempt to control that chaos and give it a bit of order. My artwork usually comes in different forms such as, traditional prints, drawings, artist books, sculptures, handmade paper, and mixed media. I enjoy exploring and experimenting with different techniques and processes.
